The Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to alert church goers to the fact that on Sunday 7th May 2017  they had several reports of theft of personal belongings whilst members of the public were attending services.

The incidents occurred in Cheltenham, Swindon Village, Prestbury and Tewkesbury.

The police are not aware of any in Charlton Kings’ churches.

The police ask that when you are in church please be mindful of your wallets, purses, handbags etc. Be aware of people invading your personal space so that you are less likely to get pick-pocketed. Ladies, (and any men with man bags) keep your bags done up securely and on your person at all times.

Three young males, described as being of Middle-Eastern or Eastern European extraction are associated with these thefts.  They were seen to leave in a silver/silver blue vehicle.
