Alzheimer's Society

The Dementia Connect service advisers offer telephone or face-to-face advice and help people to remain independent, and active in their communities. Talking Point is a free on-line community open 24 hours per day and is accessed on-line. The website has telephone numbers for many services in the local area, such as Gloucester Befriending service (a telephone service for people who need a bit of company), and 'Singing for the Brain' . The Alzheimer's Society also runs the Dementia Friends Programme which helps to change people's perceptions about dementia.

Details:

This service is for people with care needs or people who may feel socially isolated and want to participate in some stimulating activities, including those with mild to moderate dementia.
