About me

I have lived in Charlton Kings for over 30 years and have been in the same house for the last 25 years. I have three daughters who all attended the excellent local schools within Charlton Kings. They were also activity involved in out of school activities within the village.I am currently working a GE in Bishops Cleeve and have worked there for the last 12 years. I have also worked on the site for a further 10 years when it was formally known as Smiths Industries and Smiths. I am currently in the role of Development Quality Assurance managing a team of 6 people. I really enjoy the job and feel I have a lot to offer to the organisation. I particularly enjoy working within teams and assisting in finding and resolving issuesI volunteer at Maggies in Cheltenham and have been running the Lymphoma Support Group for the last 5 years. It is a role I really enjoy by providing the support and advice to those who are directly affected by Lymphoma or are supporting someone through their journey. I have arranged guest speaker on specific topics that are of interest to the group

Why I became a councillor

I love living in Charlton Kings and the general community spirit within the village.Having just turned 60, I am looking to reduce my current work commitments I want some additional activities and challenges in my retirement. I feel that I want to give something back to the community and I think this would be an ideal opportunity for me.
