Cheltenham Borough Council leases the Grange Field to Charlton Kings Parish Council
Charlton Kings Parish Council has now taken on responsibility, on behalf the residents of Charlton Kings, for the future management and use of this historic green space at the heart of Charlton Kings. Parish Council Chair, Councillor Rob Williams said, "Today sees another step towards fulfilling the vision of our former Chair, the late Mike Palmer, of a modern and dynamic centre to the whole community of Charlton Kings".
"The Grange Field is the green heart of Charlton Kings, and it is entirely appropriate that the Parish Council should now take on and take forward the stewardship that Cheltenham Borough Council has shown".
"We thank the Borough Council for continuing to place their trust in our ability to deliver positive outcomes for the people of Charlton Kings, and we look forward to working with them over the coming year to hopefully transferring the responsibility for securing and developing the future of the adjacent Kings Hall Youth and Community Centre"
In recent years, the Grange Field has hosted the popular Summer Fayre and more events are planned to make the best use of our new community asset.
