Community Open Meeting - 13th May 2019 - thank you for attending!
Thank you to all those residents who attended the Community Open Meeting at the Stanton Hall yesterday. We were delighted that so many of you attended. Photographs of the Community Open meeting can be found on our Gallery page.
Those who attended had the opportunity to hear a presentation by the Chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Rob Williams, about work undertaken in the past year and our future plans including the refurbishment of the Kings Hall.
Presentations took place to CK Business Connect, CK in Bloom, FOLK and 125 Squadron ATC which had all received Community Grants made by the Parish Council in 2018-19. All had the opportunity to speak to the meeting about the work of their organisations.
There was also an opportunity to participate in an impromptu Qigong session! Qigong is a simple, gentle, outdoor exercise for good health which can be undertaken by all ages and abilities. Sessions take place from 2.00 to 3.00 pm every Tuesday from 23rd April 2019 on Grange Field, Charlton Kings. For more information, contact Karen Soo, Certified Shibashi Qigong Instructor, on firstname.lastname@example.org, 07986 290250 or www.facebook.com/qigongshibashi
At the end of the meeting, those present divided into groups to discuss how the Parish Council might develop its strategy to address three important issues: loneliness and vulnerability, climate change and the use of the Kings Hall and Grange Field.
We hope that those who attended found the Community Open Meeting to be informative. If you have any comments or feedback, please let us know on email@example.com
