Working to support our community

Charltonbury Festival 2020 29th - 31st August

Charltonbury Festival 2020 29th - 31st August

Friends of Charlton Kings are a group of local residents and volunteers.

Charltonbury is our end of summer street festival, run by the community, for the community. It has been put together in record quick time given the constraints of the Covid situation. Every event is organised by volunteer effort - we have worked hard to ensure there is something for everyone, but there are limits to our time and expertise!

Tickets for Charltonbury are open first and foremost to residents of Charlton Kings, solely due to the restrictions of running a Covid secure event.

There is no charge to attend. We are a 'not for profit' organisation - but this event does have costs to cover. In addition, volunteers and performers are often out of work or living off a reduced income. Donations to the Friends of CK summer appeal will be used to firstly cover costs, and then will be added to a fund to support any low income residents who have made this all possible.

We would like everyone attending Charltonbury to consider a community pledge in addition to any donation you choose to make.

Options include gifts of talent, time or give back to our community in any way. On the day, we ask that you join the #ckelves who are going to be litter picking and keeping everything neat and tidy. After the event, any 'pledges' of community support or street level help will be recorded and celebrated; contact us at friendsofcharltonkings@gmail.com if you need suggestions!
