Yellow Warning of Thunderstorms in local area

The Met Office forecast has warned of a high possibility of very heavy rainfall occurring in the local area over the next 48 hours. Some areas could see severe thunderstorms bringing the risk of transport disruption and localised flooding. There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly with damage to buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes and large hail. There is also a small chance of fast flowing or deep flood water which could cause danger to life.

Please do not risk crossing the School Road ford once the river rises.
