Changes to council services for week of 19 September 2022
Council services, including waste collections, will be suspended on Monday (19 September) as the country marks the sad occasion of the state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Municipal Offices on the Promenade will close to both the public and staff on Monday 19 September.
Cheltenham Cemetery and Crematorium will honour all existing, booked appointments for funeral services for 19 September. The office will not be taking any more bookings for that day as a mark of respect for our late Queen, and the offices will be closed to customers for enquires and bookings, however the cemetery grounds will be open as usual until 7.30pm.
All household waste and recycling collections will be suspended on this date. Collections will be one day late during this week, with a 'catch up Saturday' scheduled for 24 September. See table.
The household recycling centre will be closed all day on Monday 19 September, opening again as normal on Tuesday 20 September.
