Scrub and tussock grass removal work: Monday 21st - Friday 25th November - DATE CHANGE

The Robomower is returning to Ravensgate for the third time to remove scrub grass and tussocks to extend the areas of valuable short-turf limestone grassland on the steeper slopes of the common.

Fortunately, Ash dieback disease has killed or stunted many of the sapling trees that were threatening to turn the common into poor secondary woodland, and we need to follow that up by creating conditions that will encourage our grazing herd of South Devon cattle to maintain the grassland through sustainable farming.

Please keep well away from the machine and keep dogs on a short lead. Thank you.

For further information, please contact clerk@charltonkingsparishcouncil.gov.uk or phone 01242 250087

The dates on our posters on Ravensgate will be updated with a sharpie pen as soon as we can get staff or volunteers up there again with keys to the Noticeboards!
