Charlton Kings Parish Council recently installed a dead hedge at Grange Field as part of our efforts to enhance the community space and boost biodiversity. This natural barrier, created by local residents Rose Lennard and John Coates, provides a vital habitat for birds, insects, and small mammals while helping to recycle garden waste.

Check out Rose's video to learn more about this eco-friendly feature! https://youtu.be/xcnYFBUc9aU

We've also added a simple guide if you're interested in creating your own dead hedge at home. Read more here!
