CK Futures is an initiative created by Charlton Kings Parish Council in response to the climate and ecological emergencies.

We have now created a survey for local residents which is anonymous and designed to understand their position on subjects such as resource waste, personal carbon footprints and plastic pollution. The survey results will help to shape our ongoing environmental strategy.

Gloucestershire County Council have launch the Ash Dieback Project to start to tackle the effects of Ash Dieback within the county. The immediate concern is to protect users of the Highway and County Council land from the danger posed by numerous dying trees. The general consensus currently is that up to 95% of ash trees in the UK may eventually become affected by the disease.

Parish Office and Stanton Suite - Re-opening after lockdown and Christmas closure

Following the end of the recent COVID-19 lockdown, all Parish Office staff are working their normal hours in the Parish Office from 3rd December 2020.

At our Full Council meeting on 30th November 2020, the Parish Council agreed its support for the Slow Ways initiative and undertook to make local residents aware of its work.
