Christmas at Sixways 2020
The Parish Council has been working with local businesses to create a 'Switch on to Christmas at Sixways' event over the Christmas period. Each participating business at Sixways will decorate their window and promote a local charity over the Christmas period. CK Futures - survey of Charlton Kings residents regarding environmental issues
CK Futures is an initiative created by Charlton Kings Parish Council in response to the climate and ecological emergencies.
We have now created a survey for local residents which is anonymous and designed to understand their position on subjects such as resource waste, personal carbon footprints and plastic pollution. The survey results will help to shape our ongoing environmental strategy.

Guideposts Information Service
Since March, the Guideposts Information Service have been supporting people through the Covid-19 pandemic by providing a helpline service for those struggling with stress, uncertainty and practical difficulties. Their popular 'Stay Connected' web pages have provided 100s of ideas of ways to stay socially connected and active from home.

Ash Dieback Project- A message from Gloucestershire County Council
Gloucestershire County Council have launch the Ash Dieback Project to start to tackle the effects of Ash Dieback within the county. The immediate concern is to protect users of the Highway and County Council land from the danger posed by numerous dying trees. The general consensus currently is that up to 95% of ash trees in the UK may eventually become affected by the disease.

Parish Office and Stanton Suite - Re-opening after lockdown and Christmas closure
Following the end of the recent COVID-19 lockdown, all Parish Office staff are working their normal hours in the Parish Office from 3rd December 2020.
However, the Parish Office will not be re-opened to members of the public until after the Christmas break. In the meantime, anyone who wished to speak to a member of staff is asked to get in touch by telephone or email and a face-to-face appointment can... Read More »

Slow Ways - walking route initiative
At our Full Council meeting on 30th November 2020, the Parish Council agreed its support for the Slow Ways initiative and undertook to make local residents aware of its work.
