Charlton Kings resident scammed out of large sum of money
Local police are warning residents to be wary of people offering services door-to-door and unannounced after a local man was scammed out of £1500 for a 10 minute gardening job.
The elderly gentleman was approached by two men on the morning of Thursday 3rd September. Although a sum of £100 was agreed for the gardening work, the men then demanded £1500.

Road Closure Notice - Ham Road 14th - 17th September
This road will be closed from Monday 14th September until Thursday 17th September 2020 between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs to allow for resurfacing maintenance work by Gloucestershire County Council.
Emergency access will be maintained.

Walk to Remember 2020 - Sue Ryder - October 17th
The Sue Ryder Walk to Remember event is a 5 or 10k walk in memory of a loved one.

Vision 21 - Pop Up Repair Shop on Saturday 5th September
Vision 21 in collaboration with CK Futures are running a Pop Up Repair Shop in the Stanton Hall on Saturday 5th September 10.30am to 1.30pm.
You are invited to bring in your broken small electrical items, textiles, knives and tools for sharpening. By sitting with the volunteers as they carry out the repairs, you can pick up valuable skills which will mean less and less items being discarded as 'unfixable'.... Read More »
