Details:

All classes take place at Sacred Hearts Hall, Moorend Road, Charlton Kings. All equipment supplied. Wear comfortable clothes and trainer-type shoes. Bring your own water. All classes are pay as you go. £5 for 50/55minutes. There are three types of classes:

MELLOW MOVES: Mondays 10.00am & 11.00am and Wednesdays 10.00am (Movement & mobility exercises to music for the older adult.) Incorporating strength & balance sequences to work core muscles. Standing and chair work.

TOTAL BODY 123 : Mondays & Thursdays 9.00am (active class, toning and strength work, divided into three sections and done to music). 1. Active, pulse-raising warm up; 2. Standing strength & balance; 3. Mat work , including pilates exercises

STRETCH & TONE [Yoga/Pilates]: Wednesday 9.00am (Flowing moves to music to stretch and tone using a combination of easy yoga moves and pilates exercises).

Yoga is a holistic system benefiting mind and body through system of gentle stretches, posture work, breath work, meditation and relaxation. Keeps joints flexible; strengthens and lengthens muscles; keeps body fit and trim; strengthens the lungs; reduces blood pressure and stress; improves postures and energy levels; calms and stills the mind; improves balance; improves concentration and reduces depression and anxiety.

Held in the Stanton Rooms, Charlton Kings Library, Church Piece, Wednesday mornings 10.30 a.m. – 12.00. Or Holy Apostles Hall, London Road, Sixways, Charlton Kings on Thursday mornings 10.30-12.00. And St Mary's Church Hall, Charlton Kings on Tuesday evenings, 7pm – 8.30 p.m. Email or text for online payment details. Classes are £10 for drop-ins or there is 20% discount for a term. Open to all ages and abilities. Bring a yoga mat and blanket and do not eat for up to 2 hours beforehand.
