St Mary's Churchyard Clear-up

The Churchyard of St Mary's Church is jointly managed by the Church and Charlton Kings Parish Council for the quiet enjoyment of all.
It would be great if you could lend a hand to keep it as a space that can be enjoyed.
We meet at 9:30 for around 2 hours to tidy and undertake light gardening duties to keep nature in check and allowed to flourish as it should.
It would be great if you can bring along basic gardening tools and a good pair of gloves - Refreshments Provided!

Charlton Kings Repair Cafe

Join us for the Charlton Kings Repair Café on Saturday, 16th August, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at Stanton Hall (next to the library).
Bring along your broken items and give them a new lease of life with the help of our talented volunteer repairers!
Services available this month:
- Knife and tool sharpening
- Fabric and textile repair
- Small electrical repair
- Non-electrical repair
- Pop-up service: Bike Repair
The Repair Café is part of our mission to reduce waste, save money, and build a sustainable, supportive community. You can read more about this initiative here.
We'll also be collecting donations for Vision 21, the charity that supports our Repair Café and runs 13 others across Gloucestershire.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Cox's Meadow Bat Walk

Join Us for a Bat Walk in Cox's Meadow!Join Steve Mason, Community Parks Officer at Cheltenham Borough Council, for a bat walk around Cox's Meadow.
- Date:Tuesday 26th August
- Time: 8 - 9.45pm (approx.)
- Meeting Point: Outside The Meadow Cafe, Cox's Meadow
- Route: A 1-2 mile walk exploring local bat habitats
Steve will guide us through key bat-friendly areas, helping us to spot and listen to these fascinating nocturnal creatures using specialist bat detectors. It's a great opportunity to learn about bats, their behaviour, and the vital role they play in our local ecosystem.
Spaces are limited! Places are capped at 30 people to ensure everyone gets a chance to use a bat detector.
